4 & 5-Year-Old Camp
Encouraging curiosity. Building friendships.
Four- and five-year-old campers will build on their natural curiosity to discover, explore, and learn about the world around them. In each unique camp session, campers will use observing and questioning skills to explore the Museum, local habitats and many living things nearby. As campers explore, investigate and play in our outdoor spaces, they will gain comfort and confidence in being outdoors.
Summer 2024 Camp Sessions
The Nature Museum Camp team is excited to offer four two-week camp sessions for campers ages four and five. Each session will be in person and run once throughout the summer, giving campers the chance to sign up for one or four sessions, meeting new friends and exploring new topics along the way!
Whether you choose to register your camper for one session or four, your camper will have the chance to interact with fellow campers, connect with Nature Museum counselors, and engage in unique activities and natural exploration.
Camp sessions are held Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm.
Aftercare
Join us from 3pm to 5pm for aftercare! Campers of all ages will continue the fun while they explore the exhibits, join in on outdoor play, and create. Space is limited. Please keep reading for aftercare pricing per session.

6 & 7-Year-Old Camp
Making discoveries. Playing together.
Six- and seven-year-old campers will enhance their ability to explore, investigate, and question. In each unique camp session, campers will conduct investigations to find out more about habitats, animal behaviors and bodies, and ecosystem adaptations. As campers explore, they will act as detectives to answer their own nature questions, decipher how different plants and animals survive, and discover the many interactions and relationships that occur in nature.

8 & 9-Year-Old Camp
Exploring wildlife. Making connections.
Eight- and nine-year-old campers will develop their science skills as they compare, consider, and classify all sorts of living and non-living specimens in and around the Nature Museum. Each unique camp session will focus on observing interactions in the prairie, wetland, or woodland ecosystems teeming with life in the Museum's backyard. Campers will enjoy recording field notes and illustrations as they take a deep-dive in a study of living things in our local urban ecosystems.
